This Life
Fall is a great time for self reflection. Our energies are focused on contracting to maintain our heat for the winter cold. That also encourages our thoughts to go inward. I’d like to talk a bit about how I use numerology in my practice to help understand my own life path and that of others I help.
Once you understand yourself more, it is easier to know where you are going and what is important. When you know this you are more likely to care for yourself more successfully. All self care is health care!
Intuitive readings
Years ago, I got a psychic reading from an intuitive. The information was so revealing! Over the years, as I developed my own intuition and became the healer I am now, I see that there are a finite number of issues and choices we make in our lives. That helped me understand how to read the body, but where was the information? There are patterns that are available to understand for everyone.
Numerology and the life path
The most helpful source of information is in numerology. In 2 hours with a great book, “Love By The Numbers” by Glynnis McCants, I understood many truths about myself and about others. I had looked at numerology before, but this book actually talked about how each of the numbers gets along with the others. If there was one book that is like Coles Notes for life, this would be it!
There are 3 easy and most important numbers to calculate from your birth date. The life path number (the most revealing of our nature of the 3 numbers), is found by adding your birth date, month (number one to twelve of the months) and the year. Add all the digits until you come up with a single digit.
For example, someone born 9th of November 1966 would be 9 + 11 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 6 = 42. Then, 4+2 = 6.
In the possible 9 numbers in numerology, there are 3 subgroups. Numbers 3, 6 and 9 are artistically creative. They enjoy being artistic. Numbers 2,4 and 8 are the workers. They tend to work a lot. Numbers 1, 5 and 7 are the thinkers. They are always trying to figure something out.
Applying numerology to reveal your own story
Last week, I witnessed someone’s 90th birthday celebration. He is doing well in many ways and still enjoys independent living. Over the years, he’s had good health and is still going strong.
Using numerology, I find that his life path number is 6 and his wife is a 9. The spouse has a hard time letting go of past traumas and can fall into a pattern of negative thinking. Fortunately, 9 and 6 are a natural match couple in numerology. His life path may be taking him into understanding the relationships of partner and family, bringing harmony and understanding in any situation. It all seems quite mundane until you get into the ups and downs of daily life. This man balanced the relationship with his wife, their children, the children’s partners and grandchildren.
This life path number helps reveal your own story of how you overcame the issues you came to work on in this lifetime. I spoke about the truth of the issues and challenges brought from past lives in the blog about “The Journey of Souls”.
For some people, their health is so challenging, they are always working on it. Maintaining their health is like keeping ice from thawing. For the 90 year old birthday boy, his health was not the issue. For him, it was the primary relationships that needed constant care. At 90, his many relationships are all still thriving due to his insight and input.
I am fascinated by determining an individual’s strengths and challenges. It is part of what I do when working with someone on their life goals. Physical health is one aspect, emotional and spiritual health makes the journey much deeper.
Embrace your skills, passions and accomplishments. Life can be an amazing journey!
