Awakening from Alzheimer’s
Alzheimer’s research and findings
Brain disorders, including Alzheimer’s, are an important focus for me. Here is some new research on Alzheimer’s treatment I want to share.
Peggy Sarlin wrote the book “Awakening from Alzheimer’s”. She also created the webinar series on Alzheimer’s I watched 2 weeks ago. The webinar featured 15 Alzheimer’s experts from the medical community in the US. They spoke about their results with Alzheimer’s patients using natural therapies.
Many of the presenting medical doctors relied heavily on supplements. The public comments complained of the high cost of so many supplements needed for indefinite periods of time.
One doctor, Dr. Bredesen, published a study of healing 9 out of 10 patients with his natural methods. In the webinar, they stated that NO doctor has published a cure for Alzheimer’s using medical drugs. Dr. Bredesen also recently appeared on the Dr. Oz show. He has a book called “The End of Alzheimer’s” and feels there are possibly 36 different reasons for the neurodegenerative disease. He addresses as many of these areas in his treatments with each patient as he can. The book outlines the whole program.
Common Causes of Alzheimer’s
In the webinar, the doctors identify the most common causes of Alzheimer’s: not enough oxygen to the brain cells due to circulatory issues, poor metabolism, impaired nutrition and side effects of too many prescription drugs.
There is also a type of diabetes that affects the brain that is now called Type 3 Diabetes. Many people who have Type 3 Diabetes do not have Type 1 or Type 2. Type 3 affects the frontal lobe, and causes a variety of symptoms. Type 3 can easily be overlooked and go untreated, but once you look for that as a cause, there are many Vibrational Remedies that can help. Berberine is one recommended supplement, which can help lower sugars in the blood.
Long term inflammation caused by issues like Lyme disease, Candida, or chronic bladder infections can also lead to Alzheimer’s. Addressing the inflammation does improve brain function. Dr. Patricia Gerbarg took antibiotics for some time to treat her own Lyme disease, but only had about a 25% improvement in her brain function. She tried many supplements but found that Rhodiola Rosea helped rebuild the nerves and brain. She has been taking Rhodiola for over 10 years now and is pleased with her results. Rhodiola seems to help also with estrogen, since it aids the pituitary function.
Natural Supplements to treat Alzheimer’s
The doctors listed many natural supplements. Some commonly uses supplements to try are Ginko, CoQ10, Rhodiola, Omega 3 oils, Folic Acid, B Complex, Picnogol, and Gaba. I am not recommending that you take any of these supplements. Sometimes they are effective, but hard to know when you take more than one at a time. Please work with me or another health care professional rather than attempting to design your own treatment plan.
Some fats greatly help the brain, especially coconut oil and MCT oil that is derived from coconut oil. Dr. Mary Newport wrote a book about the fast results she got from treating her husband’s Alzheimer’s with coconut oil. He had measurable results within 2 hours of consuming coconut oil. Her information was amazing!
Treating the brain
I have found that Vibrational Remedies have successfully rebuilt many brains after addressing long term inflammation. Many factors go into determining the best remedy. There is no one treatment that works for everyone. Each time I work with someone, I check up to 42 different areas of the brain to see how the brain is functioning. I provide in remedy form whatever is needed to rebuild or maintain total brain functions. When I hear of all these recommendations, even when they are natural, I am cautious. I checked in with 20 people I have been working with and found that only 2 of them would benefit from consuming coconut oil.
The Power of Music
Dr. Fortanasce spoke about the functions of the hippocampus part of the brain . The hippocampus is responsible for short term memory, multi tasking and quick responses. This is part of the limbic system and where the brain feels emotions. He recommended people use sensory stimuli to activate the hippocampus, since the hippocampus stimulates the rest of the brain. Simple exercises like listening to music, looking at family photos, smell and taste. Using these stimuli to encourage emotional responses and memories keeps the hippocampus working well.
A couple of years ago I posted a clip from a film called “Alive Inside”. People who were unresponsive listened to music they used to enjoy. Once they listened, they started to talk, laugh, and even dance. It could be the effect of stimulating the hippocampus that created this dramatic change. Here it is again, in case you missed it.
Consultation and More Information
I have studied the brain and brain function for over 12 years and have seen brain results in many people by using remedies. I am always grateful to have the benefit of other practitioner’s results. Their research helps me to look at issues differently. I can specifically recommend remedies, lifestyle and diet choices for the fastest, longest lasting results. If you or someone you know would like more information on what I do to help my clients or if you’d like to book an appointment, please contact me.
