Energy and Thyroid
Energy and Thyroid
Many people hear that they have hypothyroid. That means the thyroid is sluggish If the thyroid is sluggish the body has less energy. The correlation between energy and thyroid is often missed.
Hypothyroid is often the result of several factors. Let me use an analogy. Consider that the thyroid in the body is like the foreman at a car assembly plant. The end product, the assembled car is like energy availability to the body.
One day the only person that shows up for work is the foreman, instead of a team which consists of the foreman and labourers. The output for that day is still expected to be the same, but there’s only one person working instead of a team.
The foreman is exhausted, the supervisor sees the exhaustion and says, “Here have an energy drink.” Afterwards he is expected to get right back to work and maintain the output like everyone showed up. You can see how difficult and exhausting this would be for one person to do the work of many over a long period of time.
Back to the thyroid. When the thyroid is exhausted, it has usually been overworking because other components of energy in the body have been used up. This is often bone and blood strength. To work on the thyroid alone with supplements and or medicine does not treat the root cause of the hypothyroid.
Here is a deeper level solution:
Get 8 hours of sleep per night.
Let go of as much stress as possible.
Have animal protein at every meal (with vegetables).
If you feel you are already doing this there could be a weakness that can be healed with remedies – Like strengthening the bones and blood.
As a healer using Vibrational Medicine, I would create individual remedies for each area of concern (bones, blood, other organ weaknesses). Then strengthen the thyroid and its connections to the pituitary for long lasting results.
You can see that using an energy drink or coffee is a symptom reliever, not a solution to a deeper issue.
Case Example: A woman came to see me with hypothyroid. She had already tried supplements and medicine. Once she added eggs, fish or poultry to every meal we then strengthened the bones and blood with remedies. After 2 months her thyroid levels returned to normal.
Fortunately she was retired and on a pension, so ongoing physical and work stress was not an issue. Many people have done too much for their energy level for years and want to continue that.
Getting into real energy is essential to restoring thyroid health. What I recommend is simple to understand but may be hard to implement. The remedies greatly enhance the effect of more sleep, less stress and appropriate diet.
