Feedback about the Fast Metabolism Diet
The Fast Metabolism Diet – part two
People are still stopping to tell me they have started the diet. I find that quite remarkable. I have looked for years for a healthy, effective weight loss method. My inbox often contains ads from weight loss experts and products claiming results. I’m still surprised at what is recommended.
I thought you would appreciate some of the interesting feedback from people in my community. Most people that completed the 28 days said they lost weight the first week and maintained that loss plus more in the following weeks. The body got smaller like it shrank. Many people said they were so busy figuring what they were supposed to eat and making the food all week, that they did not focus on losing weight – it just happened. Contrary to the vast majority of weight loss systems they’d tried in the past, which are restrictive in the food choices and quantities, with the Fast Metabolism Diet, people were surprised to eat well and lose weight.
Each phase of the diet highlights your strengths and weaknesses, since each phase feeds one area but omits another. Phase 1, emphasizing fruit and grains, affects people whose pancreas is not performing well. One person with diabetes doubted they could balance the sugars of high glycemic fruits like pineapple and mangos. After 28 days, they reported that their blood sugars were lower and their high blood pressure was under control. Overall, it seems like the diet made their digestion work better.
Another person in the first week said they found in different phases, (like Phase 2 that emphasizes only protein and vegetables), their body was craving food even while they were eating! Yes, that can happen! The body may want sugars and fats when you are not having any that day. Without a doubt, Phase 2 takes you through a couple of days where you may feel like you are on a weight loss diet. By phase 3, you are adding in fats, oils and low glycemic fruits. On those days you might wonder: What diet? The 28 days recommended can fly by. It is a good idea to continue to eat a variation of the diet moving forward versus going completely back to your old ways.
I want to add at this point that if there is a phase of the diet you find extremely challenging, there may be imbalances in your own body chemistry making it harder for you to complete. That’s where remedies can help you succeed once the diet has exposed a particular issue you may need to address.
Haylie Pomroy has a book that creates a deeper level of healing called `The Burn`. In that book, there is a discussion about reasons your weight loss may have stalled. The 3 categories she talks about are inflammation, digestion and hormonal. I have done the research on these 3 categories. What I find is that remedies can balance inflammation and digestion issues. The hormonal burn is the one that can be most effective even with the help of remedies. Hormones are made by healthy fats and oils. When hormone production is sluggish, the body craves more oils and fats. The liver then gets overloaded and has trouble using all the excess. That`s where craving fats and oils comes in. The body then stores the excess as weight. Keeping hormonal production efficient is a product of healthy glands, balancing stress and being careful of quantity and quality of fats and oils. This is where remedies can help with inherited issues affecting the hormonal glands, the liver and gallbladder.
The weight loss industry is huge. People are making lots of promises and lots of money. I am grateful I found this simple and healthy solution. All there is to buy is a book (or two or three) and food!
