Simple Effective Exercise
I find it daunting at times to keep up with a workout routine to add to my general health, weight, and fitness plan. Some programs seem to demand so much of your time, or worse yet, your time and your money.
But recently I got a new video in my email inbox. Several features immediately caught my attention: the exercise is simple, it can be done at home and it targets belly fat. The technique involves doing 6 main exercises that are different from each other. The body gets used to one exercise, then you change. By changing the exercise frequently, the body burns more effectively with lower overall exercise time.
That is a similar approach to the diet I was on with Haylie Pomroy: The Fast Metabolism Diet, that I wrote about last month. By changing the food you eat frequently, the body burns more fat from your faster metabolism. You can link to that newsletter on my website here: Metabolism and Weight Loss – July 2015 Newsletter.
The technique is called High Interval Intensity Training and the creator of the video is Jorge Cruise. I have used his exercise videos before. Jorge has been in the fitness industry for years and has published many books. What I liked about his previous videos, is that he makes sure you stretch after the workout to prevent pain afterwards
Jorge says this is the best workout in his career. I have included the video here. You can follow along and make notes of the 6 exercises to repeat to make your workout 20 minutes in length. He recommends you do this 3 times per week for a total of an hour per week.
Exercise is not something I did growing up. Walking, yoga and exercise was something I added in my 30’s. So remember, you can start anytime.
My recommendation is that you add this to your life when it feels right. What’s important is that you exercise from available energy, versus adrenaline. Adrenaline prevents positive results from exercise.
I will follow my notes and the video to do this program in September. Feel free to write to let me know that you are starting this and how you’re progressing.
Several people have started the Fast Metabolism diet and I’d like to hear how that’s going, too.
Thanks for being part of my community.
